25 Students Recognized for Being Good Neighbors

Twenty-five students at South Brunswick Middle School were honored on Friday, December 14th for being “Good Neighbors” in their school and in their communities. Honorees, along with their parents, were invited to attend the award ceremony which took place in the school’s media center. Breakfast was shared while South Brunswick Middle School Assistant Principal Rebecca Heitz and guest speaker, Joel Johnson, shared what makes a good neighbor and why it is important. “Who you are on the inside comes through on the outside and that is why you are being recognized today as good neighbors,” said Mr. Johnson.

The Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce has announced a new promotion to showcase its business community and give community organizations more exposure. It is called the It’s Worth the Drive Carpool. The Carpool is part of the Chamber’s It's Worth The Drive Go Local campaign and another way the Chamber is showcasing and supporting local businesses during the temporary closing of the G.V. Barbee Bridge.

Cookies Galore at December Coffee with the Girls

Yummy!!!! The Coffee with the Girls Annual Cookie Exchange was this morning hosted at the beautiful Robert Ruark Inn in downtown Southport. We had the best time! We are zooming around the office today thanks to all that sugar.
The next Coffee with the Girls will be held on January 15th at 8am in the Hamilton Realty Group’s Cape Fear Regional Jetport Office in the Main Terminal Building.   The Speaker will be Zachary Clouser, Clouser Law and he will discuss Estate Planning.
