The Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce has many networking and eductional opportunities for its members like: Business Networking After Hours, Business Connections, Coffee with the Girls and Out of the Box Luncheons.
Yummy!!!! The Coffee with the Girls Annual Cookie Exchange was this morning hosted at the beautiful Robert Ruark Inn in downtown Southport. We had the best time! We are zooming around the office today thanks to all that sugar.
The next Coffee with the Girls will be held on January 15th at 8am in the Hamilton Realty Group’s Cape Fear Regional Jetport Office in the Main Terminal Building. The Speaker will be Zachary Clouser, Clouser Law and he will discuss Estate Planning.
Much appreciation is extended to the Oak Island Moose Lodge #2059 for hosting the members of the Chamber for November's Business Networking After Hours. The members were treated to yummy heavy hors d' oeuvres prepared by the Moose Lodge kitchen. They are located at 4239 Long Beach Road. Recently, Brunswick Community College & BCC Small Business Center hosted members of the Southport Oak Island Chamber of Commerce-Welcome Center, North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce, and Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce for a Business Networking After Hours event on the Main Campus of Brunswick Community College. The annual event provides businesses across the county an opportunity to meet business owners they ordinarily do not encounter. During the Coffee with the Girls in October, the focus was on healthy eating and taking small steps to better health. The event was hosted at Hamilton Realty Group with guest speaker was Lindsay N. Maher, MPA of the Brunswick Wellness Coalition. What a feast! Chamber members attending the Business Networking After Hours event on Tuesday, October 23 were treated to some amazing food at Tranquil Harbour Restaurant & Bar! Ann Taylor and the Tranquil Harbour staff gave everyone plenty of reasons to come back for their lunch and dinner menus. Tranquil Harbour is located at 5908 E. Oak Island Drive.
The women of your Chamber met at Wells Insurance Southport Office for the August Coffee with the Girls. There wasn't a formal speaker at this month's women networking event which allowed the ladies to discuss everything from drug addiction & Wellness Coalition Health Fair to the pressures on today's youth about body image.

Members of the Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce gathered on August 9th at Bell's Supply for Networking After Hours. They are located at 4392 Long Beach Road, Southport. Heartfelt testimonials were numerous on Bell's Supply's customer service during shameless plugs portion of the evening.
