Recently, Brunswick Community College & BCC Small Business Center hosted members of the Southport Oak Island Chamber of Commerce-Welcome Center, North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce, and Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce for a Business Networking After Hours event on the Main Campus of Brunswick Community College. Cassidy Wins First Worth the Drive Drawing

Congratulations to Dwight Cassidy of Oak Island for being the first winner in the “It’s Worth the Drive Go Local Passport” Drawing held on November 1st.   Mr. Cassidy won $100 for entering the drawing by showing support of local businesses during the temporary closing of the G.V. Maher Speaks at Coffee with the Girls

During the Coffee with the Girls in October, the focus was on healthy eating and taking small steps to better health. The event was hosted at Hamilton Realty Group with guest speaker was Lindsay N. Maher, MPA of the Brunswick Wellness Coalition. Ms. Maher gave some great tips on healthy eating especially with the holidays approaching.The next Coffee with the Girls will be held on November 20th at 8:00 am in the Generations Church Tree House Building (4874 Long Beach Road). What a feast! Chamber members attending the Business Networking After Hours event on Tuesday, October 23 were treated to some amazing food at Tranquil Harbour Restaurant & Bar! Ann Taylor and the Tranquil Harbour staff gave everyone plenty of reasons to come back for their lunch and dinner menus. Tranquil Harbour is located at 5908 E. Oak Island Drive.
