Brunswick Civil War Round Table
Tuesday, May 5th: Brian Luskey, Ph.D., Director of Graduate Studies and Associate Professor in the History Department at West Virginia University. He is a prolific author of books, journal articles, book chapters, and essays. His topic: “The Bounty Men.” These were men who enlisted in the Union or Confederate army, collected a bounty, and then deserted to a new area to enlist again to earn another bounty. Brunswick Civil War Round Table meetings take place at Hatch Auditorium on Caswell Beach on the first Tuesday of the month. Everyone is welcome. Registration and refreshments usually begin at 6:15PM. Programs start at 7:00PM. The visitor fee is $10, and can be applied toward the $25 annual membership dues.
