The Chamber organizes the Christmas by the Sea Parade, the first Saturday in December (12/7/19) on Oak Island. The parade steps off at 2pm on the 2.4 mile parade route from Oak Island Town Hall, traveling Oak Island Drive to McGlamery Street.

Oak Island Parks & Recreation Department is sponsoring Earth Day events at Middleton Park on April 18th from 10am-2pm. The event will feature hands-on environmental Earth friendly activities and displays for all ages.
The Oak Island Farmers & Artisans' Market operates at 8:00am-1:00pm on Mondays from May 20th to September 2nd at the Middleton Park Soccer Field (46th Street/Dolphin Drive). Vendors will be selling produce, baked goods, handmade crafts and more.

The only surfing contest on Oak Island! The Oak Island Labor Day Surf Off is a surfing, bodyboard, and SUP contest for youth and adult. The annual competition is held Labor Day Saturday near Ocean Crest Pier.

Grab your kayak and Ride the Tide on the Davis canal on May 4th! You can choose to either float or race from behind the Recreation Center to Bluewater Point on the canal.
