  30. STEP offers parents a realistic and practical approach to meeting the challenges of raising children today. It helps them learn effective and enjoyable ways to relate to their children. It also helps them toward the goal parents want most: to raise responsible children who will grow into responsible men and women, capable of living meaningful, happy adult lives.
  31. STEP can help you become a better parent. STEP participants work together in small discussion groups. Parents become actively involved in discussing common concerns and learning specific child-training ideas and skills.

The mediator has no authority to make binding decisions for the parties and nor subpoenaed if either party reneges on their contract and seeks litigation. 90. Tools4Life offers the opportunity to participate in mediation, life coaching and/or counseling with a clinician who has Master’s Level training in both mediation and counseling. It is a compassion driven practice that promotes the belief that ALL People have within them the potential to embrace and live compassionate lives despite the characterizations and labels they embraced that contributed to their current pain-filled perception of self and others.
  91. Tools4Life LLC was created out of necessity. I was challenged to embrace, live out and promote life as an awakened human being. A human being that embraces, not only compassion, but fear, anger, grief – all the emotions perceived as negative – so that I could live more fully and in the present. Mindful Inquiry is a concept created by me that challenges us to sit and embrace all that we fear with the intention of making room for more compassion for self and others as we travel this life together.
  92. The necessity arose as I come to realize that a great deal of hurt and pain via parental divorce/separation closes compassionate space for the children of these parents. Adults who are also in pain and conflicted about the transition from a couple-ship to living a single life as a parent.
  93. At Tools4Life, I want parents to know that they are not alone and that all they are experiencing is normal – the pain, the grief, the anger, the shame or guilt – and to know that they can grow from all these emotions through addressing the conflict through mediation. Stop the fighting and embrace the conflict as an opportunity to grow. If lengthened, it will hurt your children over and over again as she/he transition into their own adulthood.

"Tools4Life LLC" is a compassionate private mediation and counseling practice that helps individuals; adults, teens and children, free themselves from faulty beliefs that create ongoing conflict in their lives by using "mindful inquiry." The practice is multilayered in that I help parents advocate in the best interests of their children and learn to redefine the conflict of their current situations; assist individuals to create and follow a life plan based on new insights and beliefs; support clients' chosen role in life; promote effective life skills for young adults; advocate for parents and prompt new reflection as a parent as their family system evolves. My hope is to redefine conflict as a medium of change that is less fear-inducing".
